Story Behind the Design...

I wanted to wear a hat that showed my passion for sewing. Of course, trying to google "hats for sewists" brings up search results relating to sewing tutorials for hats... so I created my own design.

Trying to think outside the box of typical sewing puns, I came up with the flirtatious line "If I could make anything, I would make you mine". Conveniently, it lined up with the release of the cap near Valentine's Day, but more importantly captures the non-serious, playful side of this craft. 

The stars and heart-shaped button mixed in with the typical sewing accessories lean into the imaginative, dreamy spirit of being a creator with unlimited possibilities. 

The construction of this trucker cap was perfected to create that "classic trucker cap" fit. And the white, contrast stitching makes this a focal point in any outfit. Small, detailed embroidery on a foam front panel is tricky and typically leads to a "fuzzy" embroidery outcome... but I feel like the foam front panel was necessary to complete the classic trucker cap style.
